This blog started many moons ago whilst I was working as an animator with the Quickdraw Animation Society in Calgary, Alberta. Initially it was a way for me to promote my animation and a series of paintings I was working on at the time.
Since then it has blossomed into what it is today - a completely random collection of posts about my life including all the various kinds of work I like to dabble and delve into.
I am a Creative Polymath.
I write, paint, draw, sculpt, make costumes, and dance in public.
I've been employed as a youth worker, project manager, researcher, administrator, charity fundraiser, and graphic designer.
I am an entrepreneur - founding a not for profit organisation seeking to provide sustainable safe spaces for GBLQQTTI youth, setting up and running my own business as a freelance artists and designer, and dabbling in Life Coaching until I realised that was something I preferred to give away for free.
I am also a published author, world traveller, foodie, music lover, and psychology buff.
I look for opportunities to learn anywhere and everywhere and as a result I've studied at the Mount Royal College, Chelsea College of Art and Design, Central Saint Martins and the Open University London.
I am a trained NLP practitioner and can speak conversational British Sign Language.
Life is the adventure you make it and when I look back on mine I hope it is with a great sense of accomplishment. I would much rather learn a valuable lesson than wonder what might have happened if I've tried something new.
I don't know where life will take me but I'm a willing traveller.
How awesome! Particularly the phrase "dabbling in Life Coaching until I realised that was something I preferred to give away for free." Me, too!
